Dinner Adventure.

Yesterday was the eve of Hari Raya and since I was still working, we thought it would be a good idea to have dinner in KL. So , my parents and S took the LRT to meet me at my office. We then took a short walk to Prince Hotel for dinner, which we had pre-booked earlier. The chinese restaurant there serves delicious Cantonese cuisine which can cater for vege food as well.....Perfect ! The service as usual was great, attentive and accommodating.

We were once again NOT disappointed ! I now share with you some of our dishes.....

Cupcakes.....

Lately there seems to be a trend to making and consuming cupcakes. I tried out this place which sells 6 for Rm25. A lil pricey but the flavours available were plentiful. A tad too sweet for my tastebuds, but the flavour was great ! Try one yourself if u have the chance ......

The flavours shown here include Rum & Raisins,Green Tea,Lavender,Rose,Butter Pecan, etc....

Post Mooncake Festival......

Not sure if this picture reallys shows the 'actual' mooncake size......but it's really smmaaalllllll.........i tried putting the jam spoon there as a size comparison......

i am not a mooncake 'fan' however I would like to declare that this is my BEST, and FAv mooncake so far !

It is a MINI MANGO CHEESECAKE MOONCAKE !

Got it from Prince hotel stall at Isetan KLCC.

But it sure is priceeeyy......for something so small .

I think for S , it will be ONE BITE !

Luckily for me....it lasted TWO WHOLE BITES........:-)

Did I Miss Out Anything???

Hey Oliv.....Did I miss out anything ?
I got various kinds of pre-packed curry , rendangs. Even ikan bilis.....all ready to eat, just have to reheat. Also managed to get Roti Canai with dhall , also jus re-heat. Mushroom seasoning in order , plus bak kut teh herbs and pandan essence. Even got the 'Heong peah' (Melaka version).

I think for sure, this time you guys can have a 'Kari Party' ! but with japanese rice.....heyhey......;-)

Talk about 'Presentation' !

Does this look like a present you would get for your birthday or Christmas? Perhaps it's packed even more elaborate than a normal pressie?

TA DA ! Its actually S.O.T.O.N.G ! Trust the japanese to make a simple item look so exclusive......

Soon bought this , all because I told him the packing looked so nice.......:-)

FIGS ANYONE ?

I brought this back from my trip to Fukuoka. They are actually 'FIGS' , a kind of fruit a.k.a 'mo far ko'. But normally when we eat it here, it is either preserved or boiled as a drink.



But believe me the fresh version is really nice......you must try if you have a chance to.



It is kinda like a plum with a thin layer of skin. But the flesh inside is very creamy and sweet. The smell and taste of it is also fragrant.

But careful not to let it over-ripe as it can be rather soft.
