People say that as you grow older, the minutest things would mean a lot to you. For me this would hold true to many things in my life nowadays....as I would think.. "If you walk this way today, stop for a moment and take a minute to appreciate all that is around you as you do not know when you will pass this way again.....if ever....".Last night I cooked my favourite mushroom spaghetti(see right pic), the same one I cooked for my cuz when we were at her place more than a week ago. It made me remember many things about my trip to Fuk... the anticipation of the trip, the planning process, the various different experiences we had, the excitement when we were on the trains, and when we got lost and many,many more.
However, the one thing that had the most impact on me was the hospitality shown by my dear cuz and her family to us. For they not only opened their home to us, but also opened their hearts as well....
I had a chance to share in her life for a week and as we had observed, it is really not an easy one , being a 'gaijin' in a strange land which she could not understand sometimes. Yes, the japs can be strange , inventing stuff that will not neccessarily make sense to many of us. Of course, there are some fav. inventions which we really liked...like warm toilet seats...;-)......
I am really glad that I had a chance to reconnect with family, a truly treasured experience !
Here I would like to thank Oliv & Cal for all they had offered to us during our short stay there....their home, their food, their thoughts, their care and their love.
Everything had gone smoothly and this is not without effort from yourself and Cal.
I also appreciated the chance to get to know you better, something that would not have happened if we did not plan for this Fuk trip. After all , we are F. A. M. I. L. Y. .....

btw, I tried out the spaghetti again, this time better. Still not as good as yours, tho.

actually there are a few more ingrediants that u can add when making it in m'sia. If i have the chance i will make it again for u guys.
btw - yesterday we went shopping for ur foodstuff. Got various kinds of ready packed food for u...like beef rendang,sambal ikan bilis,chic kari,roti canai wit dhall etc.
Oops hope not making u drool...don worry , it will be very soon that Teresa will be coming like santa to deliver all these goodies...:)
